Commitment to Excellence

Good governance is at the heart of our ESG agenda. We are ISO 14001 and ISO 9001 certified, and a Certified Carbon Neutral Organisation by the external UK-based organisation Carbon Footprint Ltd. To ensure we comply with these rigorous global standards, we are annually audited externally.

In 2022, our Executive Team set up our ESG Board, which oversees the implementation of our ESG+ campaign. The board is responsible for implementing policies, procedures, and initiatives across the Group to ensure our commitments are achieved in line with our ESG+ strategy.

Although the sustainability agenda is led by a core project team within the business, managers at every level attend the environmental committee meetings quarterly. These tend to be robust meetings with a critical overview of our ESG-related progress. The agenda encourages open, “outside the box” thinking, with the team looking for continuous improvement and the link to the overall business strategy.

Broader Governance & Compliance

To assure compliance with our Sustainability Strategy and broader governance, our committee developed our compliance regime to ensure adherence to our policies. We have a range of policies that support this, including but not limited to (this list is by no means exhaustive; the full details of all policies are accessible to our colleagues on our internal platform):

  • Code of Ethics
  • Anti-slavery Policy
  • Whistleblowing Policy
  • Open Door Policy
  • Equal Opportunities Policy
  • Equality & Diversity Policy
  • Anti-Harassment Policies

ESG Training

All eight members of our environmental committee completed a carbon literacy course through HR, focusing on emissions reduction and cost-saving strategies.

Site teams received onsite training from contract managers, with regular toolbox talks covering sustainability, plant-based dilution systems, ISO 14001:2015 implementation, and waste segregation. These sessions have been crucial for improving environmental practices and effectiveness on client sites.
