SOS Group Security Services is currently recruiting Security Officers for upcoming full-time opportunities in Galway. We are seeking professional, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our growing team and deliver high-quality security services across our client sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor CCTV systems and respond appropriately to security incidents.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections of client premises.
  • Enforce site security procedures and assignment instructions.
  • Manage access control and secure designated areas.
  • Record and report incidents, security breaches, fire alarms, and health & safety concerns.
  • Liaise with the Alarm Receiving Centre (ARC) when required.
  • Maintain a visible and professional security presence.
  • Assist visitors, clients, and staff as needed.
  • Complete patrol records, incident logs, and daily reports using company software and reporting systems.
  • Use security and monitoring systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Ensure all duties are carried out in accordance with company policies and client requirements.

 

Requirements:

  • Valid PSA Licence.
  • Legal right to work in Ireland.
  • Good IT and computer skills, including experience using email, reporting systems, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations.
  • English language proficiency at B2/C1 level or higher.
  • Previous experience in a security role.
  • Experience with CCTV monitoring and incident reporting.
  • Familiarity with electronic patrol and access control systems.

  • Candidates must be available to work a flexible 7-day roster, including weekends.

This is a site-based position in Galway.

Successful candidates must meet all licensing and legal employment requirements before commencement.
